A Moment of Boredom

I was surprised at what I was able to capture in a moment of boredom.  There we were one Sunday afternoon, sitting down by the table, eating cake, and chatting away.  By “we”, I mean our family.  My sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and my niece came to visit us from Port St. Lucie, FL.  Also gathered together were my husband’s parents, both his brothers, and of course the wives (also known as the photogranerds).
We (the photogranerds) had made plans to go out and explore with our cameras. However, everything got complicated; one of us got sick, the weather was a little iffy, and we had very little time left.  So, what did we end up doing? It was inevitable, photography was our main subject of conversation (like every time we get together).   We were honestly bored and eventually we ended up walking around my house photographing whatever we could find interesting.  These are some of my captures.  Somehow I got fixated on the coloring pencils and toy cars in my son's playroom.  The last photograph is my dining room's chandelier.
